Eminem courts fresh controversy by referencing the Manchester arena bombing in a new song.

Eminem has provoked fresh controversy by referencing the Manchester bombing on his new album Music To Be Murdered By Side B.

In 2017, 22 innocent people were murdered by a suicide bomber as they left the Manchester Arena following an Ariana Grande concert, while more than 800 - many of them children - were injured by the blast.

Eminem has previously referenced the incident in a song earlier this year in which he said: "I'm contemplating yelling 'Bombs away' on the game, Like I'm outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting", which was followed by the sound of an explosion.

In new track 'Favourite Bitch', he raps: "And I know nothing is funny about the Manchester bombing, but we got something in common, both of us are alarming, foul, disgusting, and awful, so repugnant and ugly. I could give the Boston Marathon a run for its money."

The 48-year-old also namechecks sexual predators Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein in the song 'Tone Deaf', singing: "Does Bill Cosby sedate once he treats the cheesecake? You think getting rid of me's a piece of cake? I'm harder than finding Harvey Weinstein a date."

Eminem has previously defended his references to the terrorist attack by claiming that some of his lyrics are "designed to shock the conscience".
