The family of Tom Sizemore have been informed to consider end-of-life options for the actor as his condition shows no signs of improving.

The 61-year-old - known for his roles in films such as Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down - was rushed to hospital on February 18 after suffering a brain aneurysm brought on by a stroke.

Sizemore has not regained consciousness and remains in ICU, and his agent Charles Lago has now told US media that doctors have said he has no chance of coming round.

"Today doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decision," he said.

"The family is now deciding end of life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday.

"We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time, and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them."

Sizemore, who has battled with drug and alcohol addiction in the past, has 17-year-old twins by long-term partner Janelle McIntire. body check tags ::
