James Bond exec producer Barbara Broccoli has reportedly agreed a new deal with Warner Bros. to keep the franchise alive for at least the next 15 years.

The news is thought to include provision for at least two more films and will take the franchise past 007's 75th anniversary in 2037, according to The Mirror.

After multiple delays due to coronavirus, the 25th Bond film - No Time To Die - was finally released last autumn, going on to gross over $775m (£655m) at the worldwide box office.

The movie marked Daniel Craig's swansong as 007 after 15 years in the role, and the hunt is now on to find his successor.

Producers are said to be looking for a "fresh-faced" actor aged under 40 who is at least 5'10" tall and could play the part for at least a decade.

Plans for the 26th Bond film have yet to be confirmed, although Broccoli recently hinted that it will not be released until 2025 at the earliest. body check tags ::
