Tom Holland has revealed that he has read an early version of the script for his upcoming fourth Spider-Man movie.
The most recent film, 2021's multiverse adventure Spider-Man: No Way Home, was the most successful yet, bringing in almost $2 billion (£1.54 billion) at the box office.
Although a sequel has already been confirmed, it has been in development for roughly five years without a concrete filming schedule or release date, but a new update from the lead star suggests that production is inching closer.
Speaking on the Rich Roll podcast, Holland revealed: "It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job. I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me.
"Zendaya and I sat down, read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room."
Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers have returned as writers for the next instalment, while Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is in talks to direct. body check tags ::
