One contestant has reportedly been dumped from Love Island just 48 hours into the series.

At the conclusion of last night's episode, late arrival Chloe was seen preparing to announce which boy she wanted to couple up with - but the credits rolled before her decision was revealed.

According to the Daily Mail, once Chloe makes her choice, the Islanders will be told that the female who has been left single must leave the island immediately.

The brutal news reportedly "sends shockwaves through the villa" as the first contestant is not usually shown the door until around day six of a new series.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
