James Newman has revealed the UK's entry for this year's Eurovision Song Contest, 'Embers'.

The 35-year-old was originally chosen to fly the flag for the country last year but after coronavirus forced the cancellation of the contest, the BBC re-selected him to compete this year with a new song.

'Embers', an up-tempo dance track, was written by a team that have previously worked with the likes of David Guetta, Kylie Minogue and Mel C, while co-writers Tom Hollings and Samuel Brennan were also behind the viral sea-shanty song 'Wellerman'.

The Eurovision final takes place on Saturday, May 22 in Rotterdam.
