Sam Ryder has reportedly parted from his record label 15 months on from his impressive showing at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The 34-year-old singer, who finished second for the UK in 2022 with 'Space Man', had been signed to Parlophone since 2020 and just a year ago his debut album topped the charts.

According to The Sun, however, the pair have decided to go their separate ways in what is being described as "an amicable split".

A source told the newspaper: "Sam had a one-album deal with Parlophone and when the contract ended, he and the label decided it was best to go their separate ways.

"He is eager to go in a new musical direction so is going to try something new next time around.

"It's been an amicable split, though, and he and the label remain on great terms.

"They achieved great things during their partnership, especially with reinvigorating Eurovision, and Sam is feeling positive about what's next."
