Nine more acts took to the Ahoy stage for the first time today as rehearsals for this year's Eurovision Song Contest continued in Rotterdam with the turn of the countries participating in the first half of the second semi-final.
Last year's favourites to win, Dadi Freyr and Gagnamagnid of Iceland, led the way with their new song '10 Years', delivering the same eccentric style of performance that won them plaudits in 2020 - ending with some particularly cheesy poses and a blast of pyro.
Austria opted for a bare bones performance for Vincent Bueno, whose strong vocals on 'Amen' were complemented perfectly by epic lighting of the stage.
Senhit - representing San Marino with 'Adrenalina' - sparked rumours that Flo Rida could indeed be joining her in the Netherlands during finals week as she enlisted a stand-in rapper for his parts of the song. Her performance was arguably the most polished of the day - and also the only one to boast the inclusion of a giant headdress.
Moldova's Natalia Gordienko performed 'Sugar' atop a rotating plinth with four hunky backing dancers, ending with a preposterous 15-second note that will ensure she sticks in the viewers' memories come show time.
Uku Suviste adopted a tumultuous weather theme for his otherwise-forgettable performance of 'The Lucky One' for Estonia, while the Czech Republic's Benny Cristo also underwhelmed with an albeit-energetic performance of 'Omaga'.
Rafal of Poland - dressed all in black and wearing shades - had a bizarrely retro yet futuristic theme for his performance of 'The Ride', while for Greece, Stefania's use of green screen stairs for 'Last Dance' failed to make much visual impact or sense.
Rounding out the day's rehearsals was girl trio Hurricane from Serbia, whose song 'Loco Loco' invoked Pussycat Dolls vibes and gave them a decent aerobic workout at the same time.
