This week on Emmerdale, Vanessa comes to the shock decision to leave for Canada... and Suzy won't be coming with her.

Elsewhere, it looks like the end of the road for David and Victoria, Bernice visits Liam to get to the bottom of her unsettled feeling and a curious Matty tries to get the truth out of Cain.

Bernice is unsettled

At the salon, a flustered Bernice goes to squirt Bear with a hose after he makes an ill-advised joke... but she ends up squirting Mandy's potential new client instead. Struggling with her emotions, Bernice storms out.

Convinced she may have dementia, Bernice reluctantly visits Liam - but she storms off when he tells her that she's not got dementia but does seem to be going through the menopause.

Vanessa decides to leave the village

Vanessa's not happy when Rhona reveals that she's agreed to buy Jamie's share of the business and has agreed to let Kim have 15% off all future bills as part of the deal. During their tipsy row, Vanessa reveals that she's going to accept an offer of a job in Canada.

A hungover Vanessa is surprised to find Suzy with Leyla, giggling over cake, tissues and tears - and jumps to the conclusion that they've both started using again.

Vanessa's in tears when it dawns on her that things really are over between her and Suzy, and that she'll be moving to Canada alone. There are emotional goodbyes as Vanessa loads up the last of her things in the taxi.

Victoria ends things with David

Victoria fumes when she learns what David did about the speeding ticket and orders him to come clean to the police. Later, he's crushed when he sees her moving things out of the house - and she makes it clear to him thaty they're over.

David's annoyed to see Bear working in the shop and Pollard explains that he's the new delivery driver. Later, David breaks down in front of Bear, who gives him some sage advice... and David suddenly has a light-bulb moment.

Also this week...

Marlon is overcome with emotion when Ryan offers him a job back at the Woolpack.

Chloe shocks everyone by announcing the news that she's pregnant.

Kim offers Gabby the opportunity to work at Home Farm.

Determined to get to the bottom of what happened, Matty visits Cain in prison. Cain refutes Matty's theory but it's clear that Matty doesn't believe him in the slightest.
