Laurel admits that she's ready to move on from Jai and start a new relationship.

An emotional Laurel thinks about her past with Ashley.

Mary makes a brave move

Mary has a heart to heart with Kim and comes out, telling her about a lost love. A supportive Kim suggests that she tell Rhona.

A nervous Mary comes out to Rhona, admitting that she fell in love with her recently-deceased neighbour Louise. Rhona's shocked by the revelation and questions whether her whole upbringing was a lie.

Mary talks to Bear about her life and sexuality.

Nicola is attacked

After Laurel's failed attempt to get Nicola and Bernice to bond at a bar, Nicola's accosted by a group of teens as she heads home. They proceed to mug her and beat her.

Waking up in hospital, an embarrassed Nicola tells Jimmy that she can't remember who attacked her. Later, Jimmy learns the truth when Gabby finds a video of the young girls attacking Nicola. Meanwhile, she opens up to Harriet about what happened and reveals her terror over the thoughts of a repeat attack.

Faith drops her health bombshell

Feeling shaky, Faith accepts care from Wendy and realises that the truth about her condition will have to come out soon.

At Faith's birthday party, Cain is fuming to learn that he's been tricked into attending and lets rip at his mother, telling her that his birthday wish for her is that she drops dead. Faith then reveals that her cancer is back and it's incurable.

Cathy's delighted when Samson asks her to go to River's party with him - but later, he makes it clear that it will just be as friends.

Marlon succeeds in taking a shaky first step with his walking frame.

Later, when Marlon wakes up, he's surprised by a proposal from Rhona - what will he say?
