Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) will be released from hospital on EastEnders next week as the net starts to close in on him.
The multiple murderer is currently in Walford General after being attacked by Kheerat (Jaz Deol) but the clock is ticking as his crimes are about to be exposed.
On Thursday night's episode, Karen visits Gray in hospital - and when she starts to talk about the kids and Whitney, his eyes flicker open.
The next day, after a fun morning with Mack and Mia, Chelsea learns from Mitch that Gray has woken up. She pays him a visit and tries to play it cool....
Gray's annoyed when he returns home to find that no-one's making a fuss, but he is soon distracted when he spies a newspaper headline about a body being found.
Gray heads over to the cafe and quizzes Kathy and Kim on why the Vic is closed...
