Kate Spencer is reportedly leaving her role as Grace Vickers on Coronation Street later this year.

The character was introduced to the cobbles in late 2019 as the estranged girlfriend of Michael (Ryan Russell), who conned him into believing that a young girl she was babysitting was actually his daughter.

The pair have since had a child together for real, although in recent weeks Michael has ended their relationship and Grace has begun blackmailing the Bailey family over baby Glory.

According to The Sun, the storyline will come to a head later this year and Grace will end up leaving the street.

"Grace and Michael's relationship will come to an explosive head resulting in her leaving the street," a source told the newspaper.

"Their relationship has been turbulent to say the least but it's about to go up a notch once more in the Autumn. It's going to be one of the major storylines on the show.

"The door has been left open for Grace to return to the street at a later date should producers decide they want her to return."

Spencer will film her final scenes this month, meaning that Grace's exit should play out on screen around Christmas time. body check tags ::
