Helen Flanagan has revealed that she is open to returning to Coronation Street as Rosie Webster in the future.
The 34-year-old joined the soap at the age of just nine in 2000, leaving in 2012, but returned for a brief stint in 2017 and 2018 before heading off on maternity leave.
Flanagan has failed to return to Corrie since and has instead appeared on reality shows including Celebs Go Dating and I'm A Celebrity... South Africa, but now she has admitted that she is keen to return to her breakout role.
"I would absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street," she told The Sun. "I live now where I did growing up and I've moved around so much, you know, with my ex, football and stuff, so I'm back.
"But to be able to do Coronation Street, they would have to ask me back. Also if I went back and stuff, I'd want to be in a good storyline and what have you."
Reflecting on her formative years being spent on the soap set, she continued: "I think I'll always kind of miss it, and I think it's almost having that excitement in your life, I've had that from such a young age I don't actually know any different.
"So all I've known since from being like a young age is either kind of being an actress or being in the public. I've been in the media, you know, [doing] photo shoots, that kind of thing. That is actually all I know."
On screen, Rosie is said to be now working as an assistant on a Japanese TV game show. body check tags ::
