James leaves Weatherfield
James gets a job working as a football coach at a youth centre near Lewisham but his start date is straight away. The Baileys bid farewell to him as he starts a new life in London.
Alya pushes ahead with Stu's case
Stu's delighted when he meets his granddaughter Eliza for the first time at Speed Daal, but the happy atmosphere is shattered when Lucy arrives and insists that Bridget and Eliza leave immediately. Meanwhile, Dee-Dee informs Alya that there was no trace of Stu's DNA on Charlie's bag but it will be expensive to get the evidence retested.
Eliza turns up at Speed Daal and Stu does the right thing, calling Bridget. When Bridget and Lucy arrive to collect her, Alya seizes the opportunity and invites them to stay for tea. Afterwards, she swipes the mug that Lucy drank from and gives it to Dee-Dee for DNA testing. Was Lucy the real culprit in Charlie's murder?
Aaron's dad lashes out
After Aaron finds a bag of cannabis in his dad's wallet, he and Summer indulge in some weed brownies. Billy's aghast when he arrives home to find them off their faces just as the bishop is about to arrive.
Aaron's dad Eric arrives at the garage, clearly drunk, and threatens Aaron for taking the weed and his wallet. Kevin sends him packing.
After Paul hears something about Aaron stealing weed, he accosts Aaron and grabs his bruised arm. Aaron winces in pain and lashes out, punching Paul in the face as Summer watches on in horror. Later, Aaron tells Billy that his dad beats him regularly and Billy rushes off to stop Paul reporting Aaron to the police.
Also next week...
After some encouragement from Aadi, Dev admits to Bernie that he wants to give things another go, but tells her that he would be uncomfortable having her continuing to clean for them. Later, she calls Fern and tells her she's up for any more jobs she has going.
Glenda's fuming when Jenny's well enough to host the quiz herself - but soon after, Jenny's forced to go to A&E after she slips on Glenda's newly-mopped floor. Glenda takes over as compere of the quiz and it goes down a storm.
Worried that he's appearing biased, Ken asks Nigel to work with Wendy on her monologue in the play - and when Nigel tells him that he wants to ask Wendy out, he gives it his blessing. Soon Wendy confronts Ken, demanding answers.
Outside Freshco's, Max is jumped by Blake and Chris, who steal his lunch, nick his phone and proceed to cover him in water. Max is in tears as they film his ordeal.
Sally's fuming when Tim pretends to have forgotten their wedding anniversary but she's overjoyed when he apologises for winding her up and presents her with a beautiful necklace. Later, Tim gives Aggie a necklace of her own as a thank you for helping him pick out the present.
