Grandad Sarge arrives earlier than expected and Ronnie organises a family gathering in the Bistro to celebrate. During the meal, a nervous Ed watches the racing on his phone, hoping that his bet will pay off. Meanwhile Dee-Dee explains to Joel that Sarge believes they lost their old house because of a bad business decision, not Ed's gambling. Later, after Ed loses his bet, Tony approaches him wanting his money...
Joseph tells Gemma that he's not feeling well but given recent events, she sends him to school anyway. But when Chesney is forced to collect an ill Joseph from school, he has a go at Gemma, who storms out.
Also: Peter gives Simon advice over his business aspirations, Lauren lies to Shona about her call centre job and Mrs Crawshaw overhears Liam talking to Dylan about the vapes.

George picks up on Liam being bullied and tries to get the boy to open up, then later admits his worries to Gary.
Lauren buys Max a new watch as a thank you, claiming that she has extra cash because of a promotion at the call centre. Sabrina tracks down Lauren and has a go at her for buying Max the watch, warning her to stop playing games.
Also: Sarge admits to Ed and Ronnie that he needs to borrow 2 grand to help his business, Bernie calculates that the cafe's takings are 80 quid short for the day and Nina's attempt to make Asha jealous backfires.

Paul, Billy, Bernie, Dev, Gemma and the quads enjoy their early Christmas party but the good vibes come to an end when Ches and Joseph arrive back from the hospital with a child protection officer, who wants to interview Gemma. After everyone leaves, Gemma's horrified when the officer suggests that she may have poisoned Joseph on purpose.
After hearing about the £80 missing from the till, Shona accuses Lauren of stealing the money to buy Max's watch and suspends her. Lauren says that she doesn't need the job anyway as she has a rich boyfriend...
Ryan's delighted when Crystal invites him to join her at a new bar in town. Later, Ryan gets a surprise call and is offered a new job.
Nina goes for lunch at Speed Daal with Asha, Isla and their senior colleague Miles. When she arrives, Asha is in the middle of bigging Nina up, explaining that she's a budding fashion designer.
Also: Sarge arrives home with numerous Christmas presents, explaining to Ed that he couldn't see his family go without.
