Fire and re-hire
Daniel's taken aback when Adam - still in the doghouse - fumes at Lydia for bitching about him to Sarah.
After a run-in with Adam, who accuses her of keying his car, Lydia shows up for a business meeting drunk, leaving her boss Gavin furious.
Adam's happy to learn that Lydia has lost her job but gets a shock when Craig informs him that his car was actually keyed by the loser of the court case he'd been involved in.
When Daniel's keen to know why Lydia lost her job, an angry Sarah tells him he should ask Adam.
Later, Sarah's pleased when she learns that Carla has given Lydia a job as a PA and that Adam was responsible for making it happen.
Craig drives things on with Faye
When Faye drives a tipsy Emma back from their NYE party, they knock over an old man called Ted. He seems to be fine but Emma is given a stern warning by Imran, who's seen everything. Faye and Emma decide to visit Ted's flat to check that he's okay.
As Craig makes plans to move in with Faye, she's agreeing with Emma to keep the accident a secret.
Faye tries to mask her disappointment when Craig reveals that he's arranged for them to move into the salon flat with Emma and Tyrone.
Abi wants to come clean
Abi frets about the possibility of being pregnant, while Imran lies to Toyah about where he was last night. Later, the pair meet in Victoria Garden, where Abi tells Imran that if she is pregnant then she'll be telling Kevin the truth. Neither has seen Kevin approach them - has he heard everything?
Sam Says
Nick's gutted to see Sam on the walkie-talkie with Hope but not replying to her.
Later in the week, when Nick plays chess with Sam in the bistro, the youngster finally talks to him for the first time since his mother died.
Tim denial
After Sally and Tim both apparently passed their new year health checks, Sally thinks that they deserve a treat - but it's clear that Tim's hiding something when he confirms a follow-up appointment.
Sally's concerned when she finds out Tim's lied about having to go to work, unaware that he's gone to see a cardiology consultant, who tells him that he needs an angiogram.
Tim goes to his appointment with Aggie for support - and is shocked to learn that he needs a triple heart bypass... and unless he gets the operation, his next heart attack could finish him off. Later, Sally - still none the wiser - is hurt when Tim turns down their offer of a romantic night in together.
Zeedan admits his true feelings
Zeedan's pleased but Alya's anything but when Marrium offers to help with the redecoration of Speed Daal after the fire. Later, he tells his sister that Marrium will soon be leaving to go back to London.
Zeedan and Marrium both admit that they still love each other and should give their marriage another go. Marrium suggests she move to Manchester to make things work. How will Alya react?
