Meanwhile, Laura's back in Kelly's life with some big news, Amy's mystery boyfriend is revealed and Sally plays a prank on Elaine.

Read on for pictures and spoilers from next week's new episodes!

Adam has a target on his back

After Adam's car window is smashed, he's convinced it's Jeremy Bremner and visits him for a confrontation. Jeremy admits that he keyed his car a few weeks ago but insists he had nothing to do with the graffiti or the latest car vandalism. Is he telling the truth?

Adam and Imran are held at gunpoint by armed police, who have been given a tip-off that their office has a firearm inside. Imran and Sarah have a go at Adam for inciting Jeremy but is all as it seems? Later, Adam receives a silent phone call.

Adam admits to Imran that he's been receiving silent calls but ignores his advice to report them. Later, Sarah's thrilled to receive a bouquet of flowers and thanks Adam for the gesture... but they're not from him and they soon find a card reading "next bouquet will be your funeral".

After Sarah finds out about the phone calls, she goes to stay with Nick and asks Peter to keep Adam company. The tormentor calls again...

While Adam and Sarah are out, his tormentor lets themselves into his flat before snipping the heads off two roses and leaving a note marked "Happy Valentine's Day. It might be your last."

Laura makes a shock claim

Stu treats Kelly, Gary and Maria to a complimentary meal at Speed Daal - but their festivities are interrupted by the arrival of Laura, who announces that she's dying.

Laura's distraught after Kelly disbelieves her claims that she's dying of stomach cancer. Kelly admits to Gary that it's plausible her mum is telling the truth, but he reminds her that she owes her nothing.

Gary returns home and finds Kelly packing up her things.

Amy's man is revealed

Tracy and Mary wonder about Amy's boyfriend, speculating that he's an older man. Tracy attempts to get Emma to find out more details but she's reluctant.

Steve, Tracy, Emma and Carla get the Bistro ready for Amy's 18th birthday but when Steve and Tracy return home to pick up a candle, they see someone inside. Steve chases after the intruder and is shocked when he apprehends Jacob.

Steve sits on Jacob until the police arrive, but the youngster insists he wasn't stealing anything. When Amy finds out what happened from Tracy, she sends everyone off to the Rovers claiming she wants peace and quiet... and with the coast clear, she visits the police station to explain what happened with Jacob.

When Summer and Asha question Amy about Jacob breaking in, Amy's reaction leads Summer to deduce that Jacob is her mystery man. Amy begs them to keep her secret.

Steve installs a CCTV camera in the back yard and later, Amy secretly meets Jacob and assures him that they will work something out.

Also next week...

Nina lets Roy and Asha know that she's been put on a waiting list for counselling - and in the meantime, she needs to try to deal with her anxiety herself.

After Elaine organises a movie night with Tim and Steve, a mischievous Sally tells her that Tim's favourite film is Terms of Endearment.
