Curtis reveals his secret

Emma rushes Ruby to A&E after she accidentally swallows one of Curtis's pills - but she's left confused when the doctor reveals that there's no need to worry as it was only a vitamin tablet.

When Curtis returns home claiming that he's exhausted from his run, Emma's waiting with the pill box and demands answers.

After getting nothing out of the doctor, a frustrated Emma calls Curtis's dad Neville and asks him about Curtis's condition. Eventually, Curtis admits the truth - he's not dying but got addicted to the attention that the lie brought him. Emma's furious and orders him to pack his bags - but will some news from Steve alter things?

Emma listens on overwhelmed as Curtis tells the psychologist how he's been lying for years about dying just for the attention. Later, he begs Emma to go through with the wedding and promises he'll try to get better. What will she do?

Unaware of what's been going on with Curtis and Emma, a drunk Steve gives Curtis his bank card and asks him to transfer the 100 grand to Oliver's charity account.

Ave-a-go Maria

Maria's touched when Sally asks her to speak about her clean air campaign during a press interview but it goes terribly as Sally ends up belittling her cause.

Later, Maria's incensed when Sally decides to support a new housing development on the Red Rec after being promised first refusal on the show home. Deciding enough is enough, she tells Sally that she's going to run for the council herself after all.

At the candidate Q&A, Maria forces Sally into revealing how she was locked up during her time as Weatherfield mayor, leaving her humiliated.

James refuses to endorse Maria's campaign, explaining that County players have been instructed not to get involved with local politics. Maria's suspicious.

From the streets to the street?

Kelly admits to Gary and Maria that she's been letting Stu sleep at the barbers. Determined to help him, she asks Billy and Yasmeen about hostels, giving Yasmeen an idea...

Stu thanks Yasmeen for her offer of a room - then makes a joke about his high cleaning standards, unaware of her past with Geoff.

Summer heads down a dangerous path

Summer's hurt when she tries to apologise to Daniel but he informs her that he's not allowed to talk to her. Later, she's shocked to see that someone has written 'paedo' on his blackboard.

Billy takes Summer to the Bistro to try to cheer her up - but after eating a burger, Summer's left feeling guilty.

Audrey's in a neck brace after yet another car accident but remains in denial about her faltering eyesight. Eventually she agrees to take a test, opening up to Gail about why she's been reluctant.

Sarah introduces her new work contact Lydia and her son Finn to Adam but Lydia quickly makes her excuses and leaves. Adam admits he had a relationship with her years ago at university but can't really remember it.

George enlists Gail's help in coming up with the perfect Christmas present for Eileen.

Elsewhere, Sarah suggests the Platts and Barlows spend Christmas together, while Kevin and Abi arrive back from their honeymoon...
