Sky has revealed a new product, Sky Live, that promises to enhance the experience for Sky Glass customers.
The device is essentially an advanced video camera which plugs into Sky Glass, enabling features such as video calling, fitness workouts and interactive games.
The service will allow customers to create watch parties, letting people watch shows together at the same time in different households, while fitness workouts will use body-tracking technology to offer feedback on exercise form.
"We surprised everyone when we launched our streaming TV, Sky Glass, in 2021," said Fraser Stirling, global chief product officer at Sky. "Now we're doing it again. Sky Live makes your TV much more than just a TV, by introducing new entertainment experiences for the heart of your home.
"Get active with motion control games, work out with body tracking technology, video call on the big screen and watch TV with loved ones – even from afar. And this is just the start. With our powerful Entertainment OS ecosystem, it will keep getting better with every update."
Sky Live is being up in a similar pricing model to Sky Glass - £6 a month spread over four years, £12 a month over two years or for a one-off fee of £290. body check tags ::
