Tiny Pop is to close as a linear TV channel in March, it has been announced.
The pre-school station - launched in 2003 - is part of Narrative Entertainment's channel portfolio, which also includes Pop, Pop Max and the GREAT! stations.
Tiny Pop launched as a FAST streaming channel last September and will now focus on digital delivery, with the linear channel closing on Sky, Freeview, Freesat and Virgin Media on March 20.
Francesca Newington, director of Pop channels, said: "Tiny Pop's transition to fully digital kickstarts our 2024 strategy to focus specifically on the needs of our young audiences.
"With the rise in children aged 3–4 consuming content online, our expansion onto platforms such as FAST has provided us with new opportunities to evolve and adapt to provide viewers with free access to exciting content wherever and whenever they choose to watch."
Sister channels Pop and Pop Max are expected to continue linear broadcasts for the time being. body check tags ::
