The BBC has announced details of the ticketing process for The Queen's platinum jubilee concert in June.

The special event will be staged outside Buckingham Palace on June 4 and will feature the world's biggest entertainers performing in honour of the monarch's incredible 70 years on the throne.

The gig will be broadcast live on BBC One and Radio 2, while 5,000 members of the public will be randomly selected in a ballot to win free pairs of tickets to attend in person.

"The Platinum Party at the Palace is set to be one of the highlights of Her Majesty The Queen's landmark Jubilee festivities weekend and one of the biggest concerts in a generation," said Charlotte Moore, the BBC's chief content officer.

"The BBC is honoured to be bringing every moment of this live event to millions watching and listening at home, and on outdoor screens across the UK and around the world."

Members of the public can enter the ballot from 7am on February 24 until 11.59pm on March 23 through a special BBC website. body check tags ::
