The BBC has quietly dropped Doctors from the BBC Two primetime schedule after less than two months.

As part of a raft of schedule changes for the UK's major soaps at the start of March, a 7pm repeat of Doctors was introduced on BBC Two.

The soap is now no longer in the schedules, however, with the slot now being filled by snooker coverage, women's football and repeats of shows such as Great Continental Railway Journeys.

The last edition of Doctors to air in the slot on Thursday, April 14 managed just 270,000 viewers, according to BARB ratings data.

The show continues to perform well for BBC One, regularly drawing over 1 million viewers in its usual lunchtime slot.
