Matty Simpson is thought to have left the Big Brother house in a surprise eviction on Wednesday night.

During Tuesday's episode of Late & Live, host AJ Odudu revealed that one of the final six housemates would be shown the door on Wednesday night then join her live in the studio for an interview.

Viewers were surprised when that failed to materialise during Wednesday's show, with AJ explaining that instead, the reveal of the evicted housemate had been saved for tonight's main show.

The nightly live feed then went ahead on ITVX from 11pm as planned, however, with viewers able to deduce who had gone based on who was shown on screen.

Henry, Olivia, Yinrun, Noky and Jordan were all seen at various points during the three-hour stream, while Olivia was briefly heard saying that Matty had 'gone'.

The twist will play out in full on tonight's episode of Big Brother at 9pm on ITV2. body check tags ::
